"The Dreamwalkers" is an urban fantasy novel, which takes place partly in Edmonton, Alberta, and mostly in "The Dream", a magical realm where mankind visits whenever inspiration is needed.
Alessa Bravio is a Dreamwalker. When she sleeps, she is able to physically enter her dreams and bring things back with her when she wakes. Things go sour for Alessa when she encounters true Nightmares, creatures of malevolence that predate man walking the earth. There is something different about Alessa, and the Nightmares can sense it. And they have plans to use her to escape their prison of dreams.
